Calgon...Take me away!

Escape, or even just a moments relief from the insanity, that can at times be our lives,
is necessary. Some people drink to escape, some people smoke to escape, others may never escape
and instead inprison themselves in the torturous doldrums of everday life.
Others find healthy ways to break from the chaos, or monotony, and find bliss in a peaceful moment.

Calgon had it right...Take me Away! Even if it's just to the bathtub for a warm moment of solitude.
The muslims might have a good thing going with their three prayers a day- imagine ~ no matter what crazy shit was happening, three times a day you pull out your rug and just pray ~ 
A cup of tea and a good book, a new field planted in FarmVille...whatever! Don't deny yourself the right to escape.

Just don't run away too far or for too long :)

We've made this trip so many times around, it makes me dizzy.This beautiful, tragic, spinning kaleidoscope I've seen. Through your eyes, deep, in ancient times until the new, It was always you. Through the black holes of the windows to my soul. Something has started, you must be feeling this too! The tune has changed, we danced so long but now we sing. Turn your head now baby Just Spit Me Out

Feeling underappreciated and saddened at how it is possible to pour your heart out, give your time and all you have to give to another person and have them spit in your face. I had the epiphany that this is how God must feel when his children sin. He pours his unending love out for us, he gives of all he is For Us and we spit in the face of the almighty and go about doing contradictory and counterproductive things- and he keeps loving us all the same.  I will continue to feel unappreciated and taken from, as long as I continue to take for granted the blessings in my life. Once I learn to give back to God in appreciation and gratitude, the same way I would give back to anyone who would go out of their way for me- then I will know what being loved is meant to feel like.

Dancing With Kings

My bare feet situated in the dirt, pebbles and pine needles strobing heat in red and orange waves, hugs my skin The wind playing in my hair like a cat with soft new yarn The timelessness of this scene stretching beyond history's time. Peacefully content and warm, those I love, sleep near nothing lacking, nothing needed, we have been provided for And as I voice my praise, in gratitude of God's mercy My sights are directed to the towering Kings of this forest. Silence. Utter silence as if the world were put on mute, my gaze transfixed on these massive statues, and I see.
