The Silence Inbetween

The moment of silence between a decision and its reality, is similar to the sensation of free-falling.  Your primal mind is in panic mode, grasping for the safety of what was familiar. Your higher mind is trying to rationalize to yourself, 'We planned this, its ok. We have a chute.' This works about as well as trying to rationalize to a toddler having a melt-down. While all this chaos ensues inside your mind, it sits in stark contrast to the stillness and silence that surrounds you at this >*point*< in time. No going back. The decision has been made. Now we must wait for how it unfolds. The consequences are now beyond our control. This is what I imagine it would be like after swallowing the bottle of pills, knowing you can't go back but forgetting why you thought this was a good idea- having no control to stop it. Our brains are wired to find safety in predictability. Our minds scream at us to halt anytime a major change is coming.  This is why we stay in bad relation...

Why me? The Cure to an Anxious and Confused Soul

There is much confusion in the world. Bad things happen to good people. Sometimes what seems good- can later be a curse. Sometimes, what seems bad, may end up the biggest blessing. Faith may give you some peace, solving half of the confusion- by giving you an outer post to focus your path. But the other half? How can you be sure that God has planned for your life the events that are occurring? How can we hold onto faith during trying times and be sure God is working in our lives toward a greater purpose? You may ask, 'Is this really what God wants for my life?" We may wrestle with the nagging thought- 'I did this to myself.' And that may be true. Remember, God does not punish us for our sins, as some religions may like to preach. The natural consequence of our sins is plenty. After all, what sin has ever worked in favor of a person- though it may feel that way temporarily- it will surely come back to you or those around you, having caused a negative ripple effect. Sin...

End Your Suffering

Image
If desire is the cause of all human suffering  than grieving from the loss of something you had desired  but now realize will never be, should be the opposite of suffering.  Shouldn't it? After all, To be set free from desire  is to be set free from suffering.  Or is it that your desire has not changed-  only the reality that there is no longer any hope  of realizing your desire. Do not seek to fulfill that desire in another place  in another time in another go around. Set yourself free from suffering. Why you are reaching for that which you desire?  What do you believe will be healed? or  what pain inside you will be fixed? Realize that nothing outside of you  will end your suffering, bring you happiness  or heal your wounds. You will only pull near to you a new thing  to blame for your pain, your suffering  or to cause you new wounds. You must sit still. Alone. Be silent. Understand YOU are enough.  You a...
