Why me? The Cure to an Anxious and Confused Soul

There is much confusion in the world. Bad things happen to good people. Sometimes what seems good- can later be a curse. Sometimes, what seems bad, may end up the biggest blessing.

Faith may give you some peace, solving half of the confusion- by giving you an outer post to focus your path. But the other half? How can you be sure that God has planned for your life the events that are occurring? How can we hold onto faith during trying times and be sure God is working in our lives toward a greater purpose? You may ask, 'Is this really what God wants for my life?"

We may wrestle with the nagging thought- 'I did this to myself.' And that may be true. Remember, God does not punish us for our sins, as some religions may like to preach. The natural consequence of our sins is plenty. After all, what sin has ever worked in favor of a person- though it may feel that way temporarily- it will surely come back to you or those around you, having caused a negative ripple effect.

Sin does block the blessings God has intended for you. Sin knocks you off the path God desires for you to walk and causes intense unease, doubt, confusion and purposelessness. If you're asking "Why am I here?" and have no answer- is it possible you've wandered?

So, how does one clear this confusion and fill the void in their soul? When can we stop questioning whether what is happening to us is good or bad, and "Will it work out?"

To be clear, I am not a Saint. neither are you. We are ALL sinners. If we were to get what we deserved, we would all be going to hell. Through faith in Jesus Christ we are all saved- and through Obedience we can be sure we are receiving the blessings God has for us.

Be beyond rebuke. Meaning, you know you've done the right thing, and no one could possibly have anything to say against you, unless it be a lie- and that's their sin to deal with not yours.

You can be sure that everything, every person and every event you experience is part God's greater mission for your life. You can have peace. "Come to me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

You can rest assured your prayers are heard, and when they're not answered, it isn't because you've blocked his blessing through sin- it's because he loves you and has greater plans for you.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

If your inner world is in turmoil, if you feel anxious about the future, if you're asking "Why me?" or feel like you're adrift without purpose- "Seek first the Kingdom of God and all things will be given unto you."

Obedience is the only way to complete your faith- without it, you'll never know for sure.

*** But is it too late? Have you already messed things up so badly, you feel like a lost cause?

It is NEVER too late- there is no sin too great. Jesus came while we were yet sinners, to call us unto righteousness. He will leave the 99 sheep to go after the one lost sheep.

Don't let the devil lie to you- or tell you that you've wandered too far to be saved- or too many times. The Bible say "It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than to have known it and then to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them," not because you're unredeemable, but because, knowing the truth- your sins will eat you alive- you will feel unworthy and doubt if you can be saved.

However, God assures us, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Thanks to Jesus, he welcomes us back with open arms, as his mercy is endless.

Pray with me:

Father in Heaven, thank you for loving me and thank you for all of the blessings in my life.

I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord and I believe that he has died as payment for my sins, and that he is risen, overcoming death for all who believe to have everlasting life.

Thank you for giving your only son, so that I may be forgiven. I now forgive all others who have sinned against me, I let go of any ill will I may have harbored against them. I pray that they find you through your son Jesus.

Father, in the name of your son Jesus, please forgive me for my sins.

I pray for you to show me where I need to grow, and to allow me to see what I can become.

I pray for wisdom and guidance as I try to live a life that is pleasing to you,  and not conform myself to the world.

I renounce all works of satan at this moment and declare any plans or schemes the devil has formed against me null and void at this moment. I am prepared to receive whatever blessings you have for my life.

In the mighty name of Jesus of Nazareth I pray, thank you Father, Amen.
